I added two more examples of a nonlinear pulse propagation in a nonlinear fiber bragg grating with the PyOSSMGPU code. The example 3 show the simulation’s results of the launching of a bragg soliton described in the section D (Figure 10 and Figure 11) of Toroker et al. The results seem to be pretty consistent.  The example 4 show the propagation of the exact same initial pulse as the example 3 but without the kerr nonlinearity (gamma = 0). We can see the dramatic effect of the nonlinearity in the pulse propagation.
